Dates for 2012 International Shea Butter Convention

(April 13, 2012 – Atlanta, Georgia) – The American Shea Butter Institute has announced that The Annual International Shea Butter Convention will take place October 18th to October 20th 2012 at the Georgia International Convention Center located in Atlanta,Georgia.

 The American Shea Butter Institute is a biotech institute dedicated to clinical, basic and applied scientific research with shea butter. ASBI has become internationally recognized as a leader in the innovation and advancement of Shea Butter for new commercial uses and products.

Dr. Samuel Hunter, physician and biochemist, founder of the Institute says there are several fundamental objectives for the international convention. Among which include bringing end users and producers face to face. Educate both user and producer on recent commercial and scientific developments, to cultivate and facilitate innovation, and promote the shea industry globally.

The convention objectives are achieved by emphasizing the new uses and benefits of shea butter the natural cosmetic, various classes and workshops such as added value procedures and techniques for formulators and shea enthusiasts, and to promote and draw special attention to those vendors who sell top quality shea butter and innovative products derived from shea butter or the ingredients derived from shea butter.

Attendees frequently return to their respective communities with new insight on how Shea Butter can create economic opportunities within their community and for many throughout supply chain, and especially those shea producing organizations in Africa.
